It’s time for the 2018 Family Survey!
Click here to complete the SFUSD Family Survey online by March 16. Upon completion of the survey, fill out the form to earn a Homework Pass for your child! (Either print out or check your Wednesday folder and return the form to your child’s teacher.)
Guerra’s To Go Delivers!
Guerra’s To Go on Taraval now offers delivery to our school so you can conveniently pick up your child and a delicious, ready-to-eat, fully cooked meal at the same time! Orders will be waiting in the Faculty Dining Room in the Cafeteria. Sunset will earn 8% back on all orders, so take advantage of this option and check out their website at https://www.guerrastogo.com/glo/.
Spring Picture Day is Coming!
Next Thursday, March 15
It’s time for some fun Spring photos! Did you know you can take a picture with your sibling, or wear your favorite sports jersey? Have fun with it! Picture day will be next Thursday, March 15 for all students except for the 4th graders, who’ll be on their overnight trip. (Fourth graders will have their Spring Pictures taken on Thursday, March 22.)
Open PTA Positions
We need your enthusiasm and involvement! Two of our major sources of fundraising still need chairs. Take a look and e-mail Keith Inouye and Jen Jung at firstname.lastname@example.org if interested or with questions! Let’s keep the Sunset community strong!
Raffle Chair Shadow for this year
Time Commitment: March–April 2018 (now!)
Duties: Shadow current chairs, David and Cynthia Leung, and learn their secrets to a successful raffle! They’ve had several years to streamline the process and would love to share their knowledge with future Raffle chairs.
Time Commitment: A few hours in the spring/summer with more hours closer to the Sunset Gala in November.
Duties: Oversee auction with people helping in various aspects along the way. Outgoing chair Jane Rogers has everything detailed and is ready for a seamless transition!
Used Book Exchange
Book collection: March 6-19
Class visits in our library: March 20-23
Clean out your bookshelves! Donate gently-read children’s books (K-5 is greatly appreciated) to our annual Used Book Exchange. Books can be dropped off in our library drop-box by the front entrance.
Students will select “new-to-them” books during their scheduled class visits before Spring Break. The more books donated = the more books the kids get to take home! Thank you for your support.
