Sunset Annual Giving Campaign

Sunset's Major Fundraiser Event of the Year: September 6 – 30

Every school year, our PTA raises money for educational programs, events, teachers, and equipment. Our goal is to improve, enrich, and enliven student learning and create opportunities for family-school connections. This year, we need to raise $200,000 to expand our children’s education beyond the basic curriculum provided by our school site’s budget. We hope you will consider joining our Annual Giving Campaign and help us build even more learning power for our Sunset students!

The Families of Sunset PTA recommends a donation of $600 per student. You can make a single donation or make it monthly. Our PTA allocates $600 per student, but if you can give a little more, please consider donating one month of preschool tuition. Every dollar donated is 100% tax-deductible and goes directly to the Families of Sunset PTA General Fund. This amount will cover the costs of essential learning resources and enrichment programs per child at Sunset.

Our goal is for 100% of Sunset families to participate. Every donation counts, contributions in any amount are welcome. At the end of the campaign, the top three classrooms and grade level with the highest level of participation will receive Sunset Spirit Prizes! Once you donate, complete the donation form below so your participation counts toward our Sunset Spirit Prizes!

    Make it payable to Families of Sunset PTA and return it in your child's Wednesday folder, drop it off in person during Spirit Fridays, or mail it c/o Families of Sunset PTA, Sunset Elementary, 1920 41st Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94116.

What the PTA Funds

The Families of Sunset PTA budget for the 2022-2023 school year supports $323,000 of vital programs at Sunset Elementary. The primary fundraiser to support this goal is our Annual Giving Campaign. Our donation drive is separate from PTA membership, and we encourage all families to contribute what they are able to the Annual Fund. Your donations help our school provide:
